Palmetto Baptist Church, Palmetto, Georgia, is seeking a Business Administrator to assist with
planning, implementing, and overseeing effective organizational and fiscal processes within the
church. This is a staff position, and the individual in this role would attend weekly staff meetings
in addition to serving on the church council. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented,
comfortable training in various support roles while also being aligned with the church’s mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but may not be limited to:
Computer and I.T. Responsibilities
System administrator for the church database software
Contact person for any outside contractor providing technical support for the church computer network.
Manage security and fire systems.
Fiscal Responsibilities
Contribution management
Payroll
Tax Records
Accounts Payable
General Ledger
Financial Reporting
Bank Accounts
Church expense management
Budget preparation and management
Administrative Responsibilities
Insurance
Retirement Fund
Contracting with Vendors
Maintain legal records
Facility and fleet management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related degree required, Master’s degree preferred.Â
Knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
General human resources knowledge.
Excellent computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with database management (preferably Shelby software platform).
